    Dave,

Well some of the the 40 million people (who bought the book) might disagree with you. I enjoyed Dan Brown's writing style, and the surprising twists. I expected it to be mystery fiction, and found it immensely entertaining. So what is his next book about?

I have to admit, I was one of those whoe burned through "The DaVinci Code" in a weekend. I think Brown's writing in that book was specifically geared to be a fast page turner--mind candy for geeky types like me. On the other hand, I find some of his other works, like "Digital Fortress", to be almost unreadable.
